Worksite Safety
Safety is our number one priority. We take health and safety very seriously and we’re proud of our strong commitment to safety, it’s always at the heart of everything we do. Our world-class safety program includes ensuring all job-site workers sign in every day, including visitors to the worksites. We ensure all workers have received/completed their site orientation program and are completing daily hazard assessments for each company. We organize weekly site inspections and toolbox talks and facilitate any necessary worksite investigations and action plans.
ACS is a Workplace Safety Certificate of Recognition (COR) certified construction company. This Canadian occupational safety and health accreditation program is a business standard that helps us improve our health and safety while also meeting provincial legal standards. All our team members are also First Aid Certified.
ACS believes that safety culture starts at the top of any organization. Founder, President & CEO, Steve Ashton, achieved the designation of National Construction Safety Officer through extensive training obtained at the Calgary Construction Safety Association. This level of training allows Steve to understand the stringent requirements required by law to help effectively manage health and safety on a variety of construction project delivery types.
