Founded in 2014, Ashton Construction Services (ACS) is proud to be a growing company. Our team currently consists of 35 skilled professionals. Thanks to our incredible team, we’ve grown to be the Bow Valley’s largest and most reputable commercial construction company.

ACS Leadership Team
Steve Ashton, C.E.T., LEED AP, N.C.S.O., Founder, President & CEO of Ashton Construction Services (ACS)
Steve founded ACS in 2014. Under his leadership, ACS has grown into the largest and most reputable construction management firm in the Bow Valley.
With almost 20 years of construction management experience, Steve has always worked in construction. Steve graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) with honours in Civil Engineering Technology.
Steve believes in giving back to his local community through volunteering and donating to non-profit organizations, including being a Bow Valley Builders & Developers Association (BOWDA) board member (2023) and serving as chairman of the board for the Canmore Community Housing for five years.
Lesley Bannister, PMP
Vice President, Operations
Known for developing authentic relationships, Lesley uses grassroots leadership to build great teams. With an extensive background in Project Management and 12+ years of construction industry experience, Lesley builds a foundation for project management excellence within ACS. She creates personal connections with clients, project stakeholders, and team members to support ACS’s business and project goals.

Sabine Klauck
Vice President, Accounting & Finance
With 25 years of Office and Accounting experience, specific to the construction industry, Sabine brings a wealth of knowledge to the ACS team. Through working in the Bow Valley, Sabine understands the intricacies specific to this area and the systems to implement to ensure projects are financially sound and aligned with their contracts and billable.

Daena Bamford
Operations Coordinator
With a background in Quality Control and Business Administration, Daena has a hand in many departments. She manages the Executive Team’s time and communication, she also assists the Operations Department with administrative support. Daena works alongside ACS’s Marketing Manager contractor to successfully execute marketing campaigns. She also works with the Sales team to drive business and deepen relationships.

Brooke Bowman
Administrative Assistant
With a background in construction, her parents owned a roofing company for 30+ years, Brooke is skilled at providing administrative support. Some of the things that Brooke loves most about working at ACS include company values, a collaborative environment, and the ability to assist in making an impact in the community.

Laurie Cantello
Office Manager
Laurie is pivotal to ACS’s culture and success. She manages all our People Support (HR) admin including recruitment, onboarding, group benefits, performance review program, team events, and community sponsorships & partnerships. Laurie leads ACS’ DEI and Bow Valley Workplace Inclusion Charter programs. Her work helped ACS with being awarded the Best of the Bow – Workplace of the year in 2023.

Melissa Delgado, CAPM
Project Manager
Melissa is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) with a background in restaurant construction projects in Banff, Alberta. She is responsible for procurement, permitting, and transitioning projects between sales and operations.
Melissa has a strong background in scheduling, human resource management, and creative problem solving.

Kamil Franek
Site Superintendent
With over 20 years of construction experience, Kamil is also an experienced Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter. Kamil’s qualifications include Supervisory & Management (CCA), Leadership in Safety, and AMHSA.
As a Super Intendant Kamil is responsible for site staffing, quality control, maintaining relationships with and coordinating sub-contractors, project scheduling, field cost control, safety, and more.

Brendan Halge
Site Superintendent
With over 20 years of construction experience, Brendan is responsible for representing ACS on our project worksites. Passionate about safety, Brendan ensures trades and project partners are trained accordingly. He also coordinates project schedules and tracks trade and other project partners.
Brendan studied Construction Management fundamentals, is certified with St. Johns, and has his Commercial Vehicle Fitness and Supervisor Safety certificates.

Kurtis Jones
Site Superintendent
Kurtis is responsible for managing our extensive network of local sub-trade partners to help keep projects running on schedule. He also takes care of site coordination and quality assurance.
Kurtis enjoys learning new ways to build, and work as a team, to complete different styles of commercial construction projects successfully.

Alex Kuczera, CAPM
Project Coordinator
Alex is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). With over 7 years of project coordination and engineering, Alex is well-versed in pre-construction procedures.
As a Project Coordinator at Ashton Construction Services, Alex is responsible for setting up new clients, coordinating sub-trade partners, and supporting the ACS team.

Tara Lockwood, P.Eng
Senior Project Manager
Tara is a Professional Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the construction and oil and gas industries. With this experience she brings extensive systematic processes, improving our internal systems and project controls.
She also manages project schedules and budgets while working with clients to help keep the vision of their projects on track and on budget.

Darby Ogle
Senior Project Manager
With a certificate in Project Management, a Project Leadership Certification, and a Construction Engineering Technology Diploma, Darby is skilled at managing construction projects.
Responsible for managing project budgets, Darby communicates with the project consultants, clients, and trades. She also coordinates the project scopes and schedules with the site teams.

Maia Schumacher
Project Coordinator
Maia Schumacher is a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter with 11 years of construction industry experience. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management. Maia’s background and skillset give her unique insights into her projects. She’s known for being able to identify key critical items, mitigate risk, and understand projects from all aspects, from start to finish.

Daniel Stewart, BA
Field Operations Manager
With a BA in Construction Management & Economics, Dan brings 6 years of construction industry experience to the Ashton Construction Services team.
Responsible for managing project budgets, Dan communicates with project consultants, clients, and trades to ensure deliverables are met. He also coordinates the project scopes and schedules with the project site teams and partners.

Kelsey Strang
Accounting Technician
With over 5 years of experience Kelsey brings a wealth of knowledge to ACS. Working alongside the Project Team Managers and external trades and contractors, Kelsey ensures that our systems are up-to-date and processing is provided in a timely and efficient manner.

Bronwyn van Zyl
Project Manager
Bronwyn brings a variety of construction industry experience including 5 years as a Project Coordinator working on housing projects ranging in value from 13-46 million dollars.
Working directly with ACS’s Project Managers and the Leadership Team, Bronwyn provides updates on project progress, budget, and schedule. She also ensures all technical aspects of work conform to applicable codes and standards.

Claire Walsh
Site Superintendent
Claire ensures everyone stays safe while on-site and works with clients and trades to ensure projects run smoothly. Claire is skilled at making every effort to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
She’s obtaining her Professional Site Supervisor qualification and holds multiple First Aid, Emergency Response, and other industry certifications.

Dallas Williams
Project Manager
Born and raised in Alberta, Senior Project Manager, Dallas Williams brings over 20 years of Western Canadian Construction experience. With extensive experience project managing large, complex, construction projects, many of which were in remote and challenging terrain, Dallas is skilled at finding creative solutions. A member of the Metis Nation of Alberta, Dallas believes in equality and opportunity for all.

Mike Young
Site Superintendent
Mike brings 25 years of construction experience, with some of that as a Owner and Operator. With an extensive background in both residential and commercial building, Mike has key industry knowledge he applies to every project. Providing sound leadership to our Field team, Mike ensures that we’re working effectively with project contractors and trades.
