Epi.C, Canmore

As a beloved local coffee shop and eatery, Epi.C has grown into a hub not only for coffee lovers but also as a major supplier of fresh pastries and food to multiple locations across Canmore. To keep up with demand, they needed a new space that could fully support their expanding operations.

Located in the Elk Meadows light industrial area, Epi.C partnered with Ashton Construction Services (ACS) and Nest Design & Drafting Studio to design and build a purpose-driven commercial kitchen and bakery. Starting with a blank slate, the unit was transformed into a fully functional production facility, featuring:

* Large walk-in freezers and fridges
* Commercial bread ovens and proofing stations
* Ample workbench space for preparation
* Specialized equipment for high-volume baking

The ACS team oversaw the project management from start to finish, including permitting with the Town of Canmore, procurement of materials, coordination of trades, and shop drawings for equipment. Given its function as a food production facility, the space was also designed and constructed to meet Alberta Health Services (AHS) approval standards.

The result: a modern, efficient commercial kitchen and bakery tailored to support Epi.C’s continued growth in Canmore.
