ACS partnered with Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts (CRMR) to complete full interior renovations of two pre-existing cabins at the iconic Emerald Lake Lodge (ELL). This project was a pilot initiative to refine processes for future large-scale upgrades across the lodge’s cabins, alleviating the load on CRMR’s overextended maintenance team.
Designed by Amanda Hamilton Interior Design, the renovations transformed the cabins with extensive millwork, including custom cabinetry, ceiling, and wall finishes, creating a bright, modern aesthetic with neutral colours and clean lines. The project also involved expanding the upstairs bathrooms into previously unused spaces, adding 50-100 sq. ft. to each unit, enhancing functionality and comfort.
ACS played a key role in pre-construction planning and construction management, facilitating coordination between stakeholders, including CRMR, sub-trades, and the ELL facilities staff. Despite the challenges of the remote location and limited on-site communication, ACS provided consistent site supervision and strategic material and labour coordination.
The project also required expertise in navigating Parks Canada permitting and regulations, which ACS delivered seamlessly. Through careful planning and collaboration, ACS successfully delivered a high-quality renovation that aligns with CRMR’s goals for future property upgrades.
