ACS was engaged to complete a full tenant improvement for Lovely Ice Cream‘s first storefront, located at the Shops of Canmore. This project included the transformation of the existing space, with demolition of a former bar and back area to make way for a state-of-the-art facility that allows on-site production. ACS managed permitting in compliance with Town of Canmore bylaws, coordinated trades and materials, performed self-executed work, and assisted the owner with final finish selections.
The new space features a fully equipped commercial kitchen, large walk-in fridges and freezers, office space, and a central café and market area with an open countertop and merchandise display. Along the windows, bar-top seating provides a dine-in option, while a grab-and-go setup caters to clients on the move. A striking bright blue speckled backsplash and countertop serve as the focal point, complemented by sprawling wall murals and a custom glass ice cream display.
The design evokes a light and airy atmosphere inspired by beach and surf culture, with a neutral palette and natural materials like wood and stone. Customized millwork, glazing, and feature stone backsplashes add refined details, creating a fresh and inviting space for customers to enjoy. ACS delivered a cohesive, high-quality result that blends functionality and aesthetic appeal.
